They make do. They have always made do.  <\/p><p>However, &#8216;making do&#8217; in sailing isn&#8217;t just a matter of comfort. Ill-fitting gear poses a real risk: a fumbled maneuver, a piece of clothing riding up at the wrong moment, protection that doesn&#8217;t truly protect. Over time, it also leads to pain, unnecessary fatigue, and the subtle feeling of not quite belonging.  <\/p><p>The nautical sector has long been designed for only one body type. A sailor herself, she spent a long time searching\u2014without success\u2014for equipment truly suited to her body. In 2023, she launched Sailiz in Lorient and started by asking the question where it needed to be asked: directly to the women concerned.  <\/p><p>In less than two weeks, over 200 female sailors responded to her survey. They spoke of cuts designed for others, sizes that don&#8217;t exist for them, technical details that seem minor but make every outing a bit more complicated than it should be. <\/p><p><strong>&#8220;I didn&#8217;t want to adapt men&#8217;s clothing. I wanted to start from scratch, with them, for them.&#8221; <\/strong><\/p><p>Sol\u00e8ne co-designs each piece with female sailors\u2014recreational sailors, racers, professionals.
